1. Give a speech before a large gathering of people and express opinions about the president's abilities.
1. The First Amendment protects this sentence because it does not comprimise another persons right to the freedom of speech.

4. Write a letter for the editorial page of a newspaper in which you criticize a state legislator
4. The First Amendment protects this because you can criticize someone witout being a complete jerk about it, your aloud to disagree with there view.

7. Circulate a petition calling for the repeal of an unpopular law.
7. The First Amendment protects this because its not against the law to start a petition for example the town banned skateboarding and you think thats wrong so you go against there views and start a petition and get enough signatures that the town lifts the banning law and now you can skate.

8. Post your opinion on your blog about an issue being discussed at a local school board meeting
8. The First Amendment protect this because its a perfect example of freedom of speech, all youre doing is getting youre opinion on the issue at the school board meeting out and viewed. Its not hurting any one physicaly or mentally.

B. The First Amendment works in my every day life because if there was no First Amendment I wouldnt have a say in what I wanted for lunch or if I needed help on something. Its basicly having no mouth if there was no such thing as thfreedom of speech.
